"What happens now?"
The black cat looked around the room he'd known and loved, surrounded by his family.
WELL, THAT ALL DEPENDS. I SEEM TO HAVE A RODENT PROBLEM AT MY HOUSE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME.
"You know, I think I would," the cat replied.
YOU HAVE A LOT OF TOES. I FIND THAT INTERESTING.
Yuusuke looked at his fromt feet, and the thirteen toes he had total between the two of them.
"Yes. The extra claws are useful against mice and bugs."
Death stroked the sleek black fur, and Yuusuke arched his back, his tail bolt upright with pleasure. The anthropramorphic skeleton glanced at the three people and one living cat as tears shed and licks were given. He nodded, and took Yuusuke up onto Binky's back, and the two of them rode off to Yuusuke's new home.

Okay, it sounds pretty and all, but it's absolutely true. Yuusuke, my sister's cat, died tonight of medical complications at age three. He's been sick the past few days, and we failed to take him to the vet, because he seemed to be getting better, and not fifteen minutes ago, he began to breath raggedly. I picked him up and tried to apply CPR when he stopped breathing, but it was too late. He died in my arms.
But, if Terry Prachett is right, Yuusuke is happy now, and I hope Death is happy with him.
That's two cats in a month...
About a month ago, one of our other cats ran away...
